I’m Steven Longoria, a digital marketer, React developer, and SaaS builder based in Portland, OR. I founded Freak.Marketing to publish what I actually know about making paid advertising work, not what sounds good in a webinar. I also built FormTrackr, a tool for sending offline conversions back to ad platforms so your bidding strategy is grading on something real.

I started doing this in 2012, when you could still win by being methodical in an industry full of people who weren’t. That part hasn’t changed. The algorithm has gotten more powerful and less transparent, but the fundamentals are the same: if you’re feeding Google the wrong reward signal, you will get better and better at producing the wrong outcome.

Right now most of what I write and teach is about Google Ads lead generation, specifically the gap between “we got leads” and “those leads were worth anything.” That’s where I’ve spent the last several years and where I have the most to say. But Freak.Marketing isn’t meant to stop there.

When I’m not working, I’m hitting the trails, riding my bike, or playing drums.
