Assignment 4: First Search Terms Review
What this assignment produces: Either a completed first Search Terms review for a live campaign (if you have one), or a documented plan for your first review including what to look for and when to run it.
Instructions
If you have a live campaign:
Pull the Search Terms Report for the last fourteen to thirty days. Complete the three-column review:
| Promote to keyword | Add as negative | Watch |
|---|---|---|
Add all Column 2 entries to your negative keyword list in the account.
Flag Column 1 entries for SERP checks before promoting.
Write one observation: "The most surprising thing the Search Terms Report showed me was ___."
If you don't have a live campaign yet:
Set a recurring calendar task for fourteen days after your campaign launch, titled "Search Terms Review." Note what you'll look for using the three-column method.
Write one sentence: "The query I'm most curious to see show up in my Search Terms Report when the campaign launches is ___, because ___."
Assignment complete when: You have either a completed three-column review or a scheduled calendar task and a written sentence about what you're watching for.
Module 5: Putting It All Together
Module objective: See the full research process as a coherent workflow, understand how to apply it to accounts you didn't build, and leave with a clear picture of what to do next.
