Google Ads Conversion Tracking Setup for MangoMint
1. Okay, the first step. In setting up a Google Ad campaign is to set up Google Ads conversion tracking.

2. First, we want to install the Google tag on the website, so we're going to go to Tools > Data manager.

1. Okay, the first step. In setting up a Google Ad campaign is to set up Google Ads conversion tracking.

2. First, we want to install the Google tag on the website, so we're going to go to Tools > Data manager.

3. Then lets click "manage" on the Google Tag.

4. Click on "Installation instructions"

5. Select "Install manually".
![]()
6. Copy just your Google Ads Tag ID which starts with "AW-" here. Be sure to also copy the "AW-" part as well. Full tag should look like "AW-XXXXXXXXXXX".

7. Lets hop on over the Google Tag Manager and click on "Tags". This tutorial assumes you have Google Tag Manager installed on your website FYI.

8. Click to create a new tag and give it a name.

9. Click into the Tag Configuration box and select Google Tag for the tag type.

10. Now lets paste the Google Tag we copied from Google Ads (AW-XXXXXXXXXXX). For the "Triggering" we're going to select "All Pages". Click save when finished.

11. Now lets go ahead and publish these changes to the Google Tag Manager container.

12. Okay, back in Google Ads, let's go to conversions > summary.

13. We're going to create a new conversion. Select "Conversions on a website" and unselect the "Conversions from phone calls" if it's selected. For this campaign, we’re not tracking phone calls. Then we need to also click "Add URL" just under the checkbox.

14. Add URL and click scan.

15. Select the tag that you just installed on your website and click done.

16. Then click "Save and continue"

17. Click "Add conversion action" and select your Google Tag. Then click "save and continue".

18. You can just enter the URL where the conversion is completed, a "thank you" page or order confirmation page.

19. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to set it up with Google Tag manager though. So lets select "Set up manually using code".

21. Lets give the conversion a name.

22. And then we're going to use the same value since MangoMint doesn't have dynamic sales conversion tracking for capturing dynamic values. So I'm going to set the fixed value on the lower end.

23. For "Count" lets' select "Every" since we're tracking sales conversions. Then everything else can be left as default. Then click done.

24. Then lets click "Save and continue"

25. All right, let's select the Google Tag Manager option for setting up the tags.

26. And then let's copy the conversion id. Let's go back to Google Tag Manager.

27. Now, back inside Google Tag Manager, lets click "Tags".

28. Name your tag

29. We're going to select the Google Ads Conversion Tracking tag type.

30. Paste the conversion ID we copied from Google Ads.
![]()
31. Go back to Google Ads, copy the conversion label, and paste it here in Google Tag Manager.

32. For triggering, we're going to click the plus sign here to create a new trigger

33. Let's give the trigger a name, in this case, I'm gonna call it "thank you page".

34. Then for the trigger type we're going to select "Page View"

35. We want to fire this trigger when the page URL contains "thank-you". Then click the save button to save the trigger, and then save the tag.

36. Now lets submit the changes to our Google Tag Manager container.
