  1. SEO friendly URL's, meaning the URL's have keywords in them (i.e. yourdomain.com/blue-widget)

  2. Relevatively fast load speed, which means optimized images and minimal scripts.

  3. sitemap.xml

That's about it. After having this in place, it's best to just focus on producing as much quality content as possible. Quality and quantity. It's important to have both.
